Don't Repeat the Failed Policies of the Past

I am not surprised to hear that President Obama has proposed to “delay any tax increase on the wealthy until 2011, when the Bush tax cut expires.”  It was hypocritical to propose the idea of tax cut for the middle class in the course of the campaign, and then today trying not to repeal the Bush tax policy in order to please Republicans.  President Obama should remember his glorious speeches when he was talking about the widening gap between rich and poor and was promising a new era for the American middle class.  And he has to consider the fact that the Bush Tax policy has been proven to be a bad, even disastrous, policy for the poor and the middle class. I wrote an assay in 2004 (http://brightsbm.com/blog/2008/10/bushs_tax_policy_written_2004.html) about the Bush tax cut, which turned out to be true then, and I strongly believe that it is relevant today. I disparately encourage President Obama to repeal the Bush tax cut and not to repeat the failed policies of the past.
